The Life of a Creative

The original plan was to make an epic drum video. It would have a short intro with shots of me taking my drums up to the top of the crag then the main part would be drumming and I would film from different creative angles.

However, about 30 seconds into playing; having got up there with much effort, on the hottest day of the year at that point, I was asked to stop. With the concern raised that I may be scaring animals nearby, I was happy to call it wrap on the playing but it did create a problem - I had put a lot of effort into shooting the intro only for the main feature to fall short.

I then decided to make a short narrative film piece from the rushes I had. I thought this whole situation really illustrated the life of those of us who are creatives and the creative process - it showed how delicate that process is.
